What We Love About USAA Auto Insurance
One of the top things about USAA and their auto insurance is their experience in the field. The company has been around for nearly 100 years, and it serves customers in all states. It’s free to become a USAA member, and it comes with perks like free checking and savings accounts, free rewards debit cards, free checks, and free overdraft protection.
USAA auto insurance has various discounts, an accident forgiveness feature, and competitive terms and rates. Discounts are available for safe drivers, families, good students, and others. The company is also known for its great customer service and willingness to go the extra mile for customers.
What Could USAA Do Better?
Unfortunately, not everyone will qualify for auto insurance through USAA. It’s exclusive to members of the military and their family members. Other individuals will need to choose a different company. USAA also has some complaints regarding slow processing times and a tedious claims process. Finally, the roadside assistance program through USAA has many limitations that won’t apply to other auto insurance providers.
USAA Backstory
USAA has been offering banking and financial services to U.S. military personnel since 1922, when the company sold its very first auto policy. Becoming eligible for insurance from USAA requires being in or being related to someone in the United States military. The company is always working to innovate its product and service offerings, and many items that come at a premium price with other providers are free when using USAA.

Anyone who is a part of the military or married to someone who is will often find that USAA offers one of the best choices of auto insurance. It offers a variety of features, products, and discounts. However, some customers have had issues with limited roadside assistance and a slow claims process, which makes it important to shop around and consider all your options.

This is the most incompetent insurance company I’ve ever dealt with. My car was hit by one of their members and is still not fixed nearly 3 months later. USAA has great customer service and (at least for us) was a great deal. They have an app that tracks your driving and can help you qualify for discounts on your auto insurance.

USAA is a good automotive insurance company and will give you the most bang for your buck. Although all insurance companies are somewhat sleazy and will oftentimes try to swindle their customers out of a deal, USAA is far less cutthroat than most when it comes to reimbursing their clients.

I have never for once trusted any insurance company before. Most of the time I believe these brands are only interested to feed on us. However, I was forced to register with USAA Auto Insurance. Few months later I had an auto accident on my way to Philadelphia. I was happy this insurance company came around and help me fix my damages. I strongly recommend.

What I have enjoyed with USAA is the rental car coverage and ridesharing coverage. The ridesharing coverage has saved me from a lot of trouble on several occasion. Also, this is the company my parents used and I think their parents too and they had no issues with them. Hence, highly recommended!

I'm such a huge fan of USAA, and have been with them since I started driving ten years ago. I've had two minor accidents, and both have been handled diligently and with compassion. I've had USAA, at different times throughout my life, and have had it for 7 or 8 years straight now.
For me, USAA is a great insurance company for members of the military community, I was offered a very affordable premiums and generous discounts. USAA has an outstanding customer service representative that handle any issue you have with perfectly and as professionals.

USAA will increase your premium every six months and ridiculously way high even with a clean driving record and no claim. Slow claim process if you do. They raised my insurance saying I went over the miles on 12 months had to send then millage on my truck and show state sticker showing millage, then I had an accident had first time forgiveness, them more double my insurance they said it wasn't because of the accident that my state had increased in insurance, even with the accident I found a less expensive company .
